      Pros

      You could probably work for 20+ years here without batting an eyelash. Getting fired is nearly impossible

      Cons

      Micromanagement is ruining the place. Seems ok for those who've been here for 20+ years. Perks are a thing of the past. No better than anywhere else.

      Pros

      Yale hosts an incredible array of events and training opportunities. You truly get to learn from and interact with global leaders in all kinds of fields. The campus is beautiful and the resources immense.

      Cons

      Many people in my area have very poor work life balance. Although there are many resources, because of cutbacks almost 1000 support positions have disappeared in the last few years and many people are now overworked. Simultaneously, there are many people duplicating work because they fear redundancy. The unwillingness to collaborate results in a very competitive atmosphere, were individuals become territorial and there is an incredible lack of efficiency. The atmosphere of competition creates a sense of isolation. This is especially unfortunate because there are enormously talented people at Yale and the potential for innovation in Higher Education is huge, if only people would work together more.
