Work from home 4 out of 5 days.

Cons

- Working customer support for a product that is always breaking is very frustrating. - HR protects toxic managers. - False advertisement of pay on job postings. - Poor training for actual job duties. - Misrepresentation of career advancement and pay increases. - Low pay for cost of living and an extremely unenjoyable job.

Pros

Seems like an OK place to cut your teeth out of college if you happen to be toiling in the right Yardi silo. If you're experienced and in a high-pressure silo (and it is silo'd AF at this place) and, say, your manager decides you're not a good fit, you will be subjected to the dread PIP in a full-court press attempt to get you to quit. If this happens, you will be aggressively gas-lit, spoken down to and generally subjected to a creative array of time-wasting, redundant and downright grim daily tasks on top of your regular workload, all engineered to get you to quit. (Word to the wise: your employment at Yardi will not survive the PIP. It's designed to disorient, defeat and demean. That said, grit your teeth and stick it out, doing what they want until you've lined up another job, or until they fire you. Remain pleasant and just do it. When you do get fired, greet it with a simple "Thank you for the opportunity" and get on with it.

Cons

To paraphrase the HR boilerplate following many of the negative reviews: My experience was vastly different than the majority of people reporting here. I don't think people are lying in their reviews; I think the majority of people like working for Yardi. But if your managers gets you in their sights, you will suffer.

A performance improvement plan is a tool that allows employees who might be struggling in some areas to work towards specific attainable goals in a structured manner, with the support and guidance of their management team. The intent is to avoid an outcome in which an employee would be let go, rather, it is seen as an opportunity for one to be coached and to course correct so they can continue with the company. We take pride in our caring culture, and have no tolerance for discrimination, bullying, or misconduct of any kind. We genuinely encourage anyone who feels negatively impacted by something to schedule time with the VP of Human Resources to further discuss. While we are sorry you weren’t a happier employee, we wish you all the best going forward.

Pros

If you are looking to make a transition into software, this is a good place to get your foot in the door.

Cons

Starting pay is very low compared to other competitors. However if you excel within your position, yearly increases can be substantial. A huge con is management. Good managers/team leaders are few and far between at Yardi. If you find a good one, stick with them. Otherwise, you will be left with someone with no management/leadership experience and placed in that position based on a "good 'ole boy system". Also, every office runs very differently. This is because the culture is not consistent across the organization.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate there has been an increase in workload for our Technical Account Managers and understand it may be causing some frustration. We believe in promoting from within and continuously offer training for those in leadership roles so that our managers have the softer skills and subject matter knowledge needed to successfully coach and support others. We genuinely encourage anyone who feels they are not being supported to reach out to senior management to discuss their concerns and suggestions for improvements.
