      Pros

      Their business model allows them to offer affordable garden design to an underserved market.

      Cons

      The owners are micro-managers. They've hired a small number of professional garden designers and landscape architects, but have them doing menial tasks and not allowing them to contribute their many years of experience to benefit company goals.

      Positive and Collaborative Workplace

      Pros

      Throughout my time at Yardzen, I found the positivity to be authentic and the collaboration with peers very genuine. The team is remote and small but very well connected through Slack and video meetings. There is a true focus on the client.

      Cons

      Since the company is still growing, there is not a career path for most at this time. I believe this will come as the success of the company continues to build and the need for a larger organization becomes a need in the business.
