Pros

Great benefits - health care, 401k matching, mental health, family planning, decent PTO, clear outline of what's needed to advance in the next position, growth opportunities for different departments, teams and leadership

Cons

Poor and inexperienced management, no real guidance or advice just "what can you do better?" and "work harder, get out more dials, someone will say yes", no WLB - your personal life is not important if you haven't met target, seems like they set policies and promos to work against you

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us, and while we are glad that you found our person-first approach to well-being through our comprehensive benefits package to be of value and that you saw a clear path to growth in your role, we are sorry to hear that your overall experience was anything less than what you had hoped for. We pride ourselves on promoting from within, and as a result we give some leaders the opportunity to do so for the first time in their career. We value training for all of our employees, including our managers, so training and coaching is an ongoing part of their career at Yelp. With that being said, folks interested in leadership must go through two different programs before being selected to become people leaders. The Manager Development Program (MDP) is a classroom-based curriculum designed to teach the fundamentals of the manager role. Candidates who successfully pass MDP then need to earn a spot in our Coaching Development Program (CDP). This is a 3-month, on-the-job training. After candidates show they can coach and operate according to our standards, they can apply to be a manager. We strive to create a consistent and positive leadership experience across the board. We appreciate your help with those efforts! Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We wish you the very best in your next role!

Pros

The people you work alongside at Yelp are extremely supportive and encouraging towards your endeavors. Amazing work culture with lots of flexibility and career progression. Benefits are great and position is 100% remote.

Cons

Low base pay and job itself is very exhausting. You will be working with people who want nothing to do with Yelp so it's not for the weak. Day-to-day is very inconsistent, feels like there's no stabilization. You can do well one week and feel entirely useless the next. Very mentally draining.
