Pros

Team has really figured out what makes a great work environment. The culture of impact and ownership is visible in every aspect of the company. Everyone is a self-starter and believes in our business opportunity. The perfect match for someone looking to work at the crossroads of innovation, finance, and technology.

Cons

Not a culture fit for everyone. Won't be successful if you are not looking to learn, improve your skill and develop more responsibilities. Our respect for people's focus can sometimes make the floor pretty quiet, but you'll appreciate that after your first week.

Pros

Management that continuously lives by and promotes the established culture. Work is valued by ownership and impact, which seems to bring out the best in each employee. Yipitdata is a great place to work if you want to be surrounded by brilliant and genuine people. Great visionaries leading the company.

Cons

Not a lot, as long as you enjoy the speed and culture of a startup.

Micromanaged high stress environment with high burn out

Pros

- fully remote working environment - has a known rep in alt data space - opportunity to learn client interaction skills and SQL (if you are in product/data)

Cons

You will be excessively micromanaged, even while leadership insists that the culture focuses on fostering ownership. Messages where you are cross-examined and put on blast in front of multiple people/teams do happen and people are afraid to speak up afterwards. There is a predefined process/framework for literally every task, and any deviation from it will be met with severe pushback. Again, this is a company that claims to value "ownership". Product leadership is pushing for new initiatives and changes every week, but all its causing is more work, more processes and frameworks to be defined, and more stress for an already burnt-out and underpaid product team. The cherry on top of all of this is that more and more roles are being filled by overseas hires so you have to worry about job security on top of all of the factors noted above.
