Once a strong name on a resume, but struggling to keep up

It’s hard to know where to begin. The company often feels short-sighted, prioritizing external perception and industry “noise” over building a genuinely strong product and long-term value. There’s a heavy focus on brand image, especially on social media platforms like LinkedIn, rather than addressing core product and customer experience issues. From a product standpoint, there are real challenges around pricing, service quality, and overall competitiveness. Internally, decision-making can be inconsistent, and accountability isn’t always clear when things go wrong. Workplace dynamics can sometimes reward politics over performance. There have also been cost-cutting decisions, such as shifting roles offshore, that created operational challenges and later required reversal, which added to instability.
