      Working for Young Life, guaranteed you're doing work that is changing lives, which not everybody gets to do in their life. Your personal growth is highly important to all your supervisors.

      Cons

      It can at times be difficult to determine what is the next best step in program development, but that can easily be determined with supervisors and peers.

      Pros

      Working for Young Life provides employees an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of kids, and also an opportunity to be mentored and invested in by older employees.

      Cons

      Working for Young Life is the hardest job that you can have. It will be physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually taxing. The pay is not great, but such is often the case with non-profits and ministries.

      Pros

      Community is huge for property staff. I was lucky enough to have a very solid community at the property I was a part of. People are really there in order to see a change in high schoolers lives. No one is in it for the pay.

      Cons

      Can be very political. Some camping properties have management in place that lacks professionalism or management skills. Overall, upper management seems to be out of touch with what the mission is doing. Compensation is minimal.
