Pros

Volunteer nature makes it extremely likely that you work with selfless, awesome people. Similarly, you work with kids and play lots of games, so your peers tend to be fun. Very rewarding to help kids and further the YL mission.

Cons

Big commitment, requires courage/awkward moments

Pros

great ministry, relationships built. Camping is a wonderful experience that transforms lives. YoungLife has some exceptional employees that are caring and hard working. I absolutely love the work being done but disappointed in the leadership for staff.

Cons

poor organizational leadership, lack of professional knowledge, extremely poor communication for staff. Staff retention rates are very disturbing, do your research. Lots of unchristian situations occur within the organization. Not many staff develop a career out of Younglife, there is a reason for it.
