Pros

Excellent mission and some of the most amazing people around work here... especially in the local areas.

Cons

The Development Dept is weak and the mission has gotten too big to be funded properly... they have committed to raise a ton of money for the corporate parts of YL but not for the field staff and in my opinion is destained to fail. We are raising too much money for camps and it's killing the local areas. The development department has gotten too big and they are there for themselves -- not the field. I saw a photo on fb and there were over 100 fundraisers at their retreat. In the mean time, my area continued to loose donors to the corporate office. Where's the help for the local staff? While I don't like development and the direction they are headed, the mission is strong. People out in the field doing YL everyday are doing amazing work. My problem is with the corporate office that has grown too big!

Pros

Great group of staff who work together well. Good training programs for new staff. Excellence in many areas of ministry. Great reputation.

Cons

Incredible demand on time schedule and constant push towards growth even when it does not always benefit the area. If the area has poor funding, employees can go without pay for considerable periods.
