Pros

- Great benefits - Some of the best people I've ever worked alongside - Lots of Patagonia gifts, of course sporting the YL logo - All expense paid Young Life staff reunion every 4-years for you and your spouse

Cons

- A country club mentality of who's who with unchecked nepotism in Mission Services - Questionable spending practices when so many have to raise their own support, then pay a high "admin fee" to Mission Services - Far derailed from the intent and vision of Jim Rayburn. What once was a Christ-focused, unfiltered Gospel sharing resulting in youth coming to Christ and a personal relationship with him, and that were growing in their faith walking alongside Godly mentorship. The YL of 2024 has became the country entertainment club, watered down, politically correct and feel-good version of American cultural Christianity. - It operates more like corporate America, than a beacon of the Gospel. This is displayed by big money spent to recruit and obtain corporate executives looking to dabble in a bit of philanthropy.
