Pros

You can make your own schedule.

Cons

wasting money on gas, not enough clients to make the hourly rate worth it, mean and stressed out supervisor, disorganized office, much more work put on BSC than should, parents calling you 24/7. NO PTO if you dont work you font get paid. No benefits AT ALL, no insurance. In general no incentive at all to work here.

Pros

Working and helping youth in the community. Learning about people and improving interpersonal skills. Understanding the science of psychology of people. Capturing the attention of young adults through stories. Listening to young adults about their concern and challenges. Working with them to discover their identity. And helping build bridges between relationship in their family, friends and community. One of the best quote at Youth Advocate Program Inc., “Never take anything personal”

Cons

Their is not a lot of cons at youth advocate program. But I believe that sometime the time is not valued so much at Youth Advocate. If something happens because of the situation with the client. I will lose my time. And I not able to do something else.
