Pros

You can set your own schedule and don't have the boss hanging over your shoulder every 5 minutes. You get to work with some awesome kids that you definitely fall in love with! You do a lot of driving if you have several kids.

Cons

You have to use your own vehicle so don't expect to have it spotless when you have young kids in and out of it on a daily basis 🙃. You use your own cell phone and computer. The reimbursement for your time spent doing paperwork is a joke! Mileage reimbursement is low. No paid leave, sick pay. You will end up spending your own money on the kids because the daily allowance is minuscule. If you need patting on the back for everything you do this is not the job for you! You must be passionate about your kids you work with and be creative when it comes to funding g things to do with them. Be prepared for highs and lows. The parents can either be very supportive or THE reason why you are working with their children!
