Programs are effective. Organizational leadership is top notch. The organization is very active in the community. The organization keeps up with latest software advances.

Cons

Leadership in states other than Tn. may be lacking. Most employees have little work experience. The work is very demanding and the documentation can be overwhelming.

Wonderful co-workers who are kind hearted and have a genuine goal to help children and their families.

Cons

Unrealistic expectations, Repetative meetings, lack of support for counselors, puts counselors in dangerous situations, poor management, no personal time, poor boundaries, poor training, policy and procedure rarely followed, and a general lack of respect for employees.

-Great place to work if you are young, single and just out of school. -Stepping stone for work experience -Coworkers are very supportive.

Cons

Where do I begin? The company will not provide you with a cellphone. They will "reimburse" you for the expenses. They also will not pay for the supervision you need for hours needed for independent licensure (LMFT, LICSW, LMHC). YV expects you to be on call 24hours a day for 5 days a week. YV also uses a "clinical protocol" manual that is several inches thick and are expected to use it for every clinical encounter you run into. Many people working there for only a month were already burnt out from staying in the office every night until midnight just to finish paperwork.
