Pros

Co workers are awesome. Facilities are great and the catered lunches are a nice perk. Chances to do impactful work are high. Everyone is will to teach skills.

Cons

Be prepared to be lied to repeatedly by upper management. No to little chance to advance. Layoffs are not handled well when they do happen. They will pump food at you to keep you there. Little to no work life balance. Unpaid OT is the norm.

Pros

Lots of responsibilities and fun to be in the games space, work on interesting tech from time to time and able to work with designers and artists in a creative way.

Cons

After seeing a lots of fake reviews I definitely want to jump in and write a review myself after leaving the company voluntarily. CEO valued backend engineers as pure overhead, and used different ways to threatened to fire if you even want to leave for a few hours on the weekend during crunch hours. After all the effort of shipping there is no reward or advancing, but simply redo the process again.

Pros

The people here were incredible. Tons of talent all very passionate; it was a joy to work with everyone. The games that Z2 developed were real games for mobile, not these skinner boxes that are dominating the market. Z2 makes really cool games. They mostly cared about their customers, there was a few places were they could have cared a bit more, but overall it was a positive view of customers. The art teams were 1000% incredible. I didn't work on the art teams but working with the artists was fantastic. The art director was superb. The designers were really cool and hilarious people. Company parties were fantastic places to socialize with everyone. Location is so amazing, right next to Pike's Place Market and so many delicious restaurants.

Cons

First off, they gave way too much power to the PMs. The PMs were pretty good overall, but there was a very us vs them culture and they always got the final word. During my employment we worked a crazy amount of hours, we loved our projects so we put it in however we probably worked more crunch hours than regular hours.
