Pros

There are amazing and incredibly talented people at Z2. I was generally proud of the games that Z2 put out.

Cons

Office culture was weak compared to other gaming companies in the area. Work / life balance was poor. Often, the culture is run by fear. Employees and even managers lacked the ability to change anything directly. Orders came from the top only.

Pros

Great work environment. Upscale new office and it feels great to have everything readily available. Probably one of the best in Seattle DT area.

Cons

Scheduling is poor due to the heavy favoritism that the company is well-known for. Only a handful employees form a group, and it's all about their private party. It's hard to believe, but those managers still can survive while not producing any meaningful results for past several years. Many have frustrated and left, or got asked to leave because they didn't listen to the group.

Pros

You can meet some great individual contributors. Also the CEO at least pretends to try (but only superficially) to fix the glassdoor rep.

Cons

Exec level politics. CEO blames the new studio head who ousted the good one (dramatically fired by CEO) for the recent failure. IN TURN, studio head blames CEO behind the scenes although he's got such sweet lips when CEO's around. Not sursprisingly, the PO of this team is also frustratingly stuck up and blames the studio head for his hands-on approach - without realizing he himself IS a major cause of our team's failure until our tmr phase.
