Its not a bad place, getting better...seems like its getting a bad rap
Pros
We make games, its one of the few studios I have been at where we are in charge of our own destiny. Granted the development schedules are fast and it took me some time to get used to the constant changes but when you build a game in 12 months I guess that happens. I read some of these reviews and I am surprised at them, we have alot to learn but its not worse here than other game studios...in fact its a lot better, at least you know whats happening and why and if you dont you can ask..at WB they just pulled the rug out from under us. CEO announced at our last all-hands that we would have some half days durning the summer to spend more time with our families...keep that kind of stuff going! Benefits are great, better than at MS...I have friends that work there and I am surprised that our company can provide such a comprehensive package. Our new games are amazing, Cant wait to show them off
Cons
Things change to often and I cant always tell why, work-life can be tricky but I have been on console projects that have had 6 month death marches so a weekend here or there seems like a vast improvement...its hard to take time off when we are going so fast but I havent personally tried, guess I could if I wanted...others do. Some of the PO's and Producers seem lost at times and it creates alot of headaches ( good news though is most of them have left or been asked to leave recently).
