One can park themselves at this company forever. Mediocre people (or less than mediocre) will love the job security here.

Cons

Very poor management. No upward mobility. Products are not marketed properly. Negative atmosphere. There are many mediocre managers and support people.

Great training... top of the mind product in the eyes of the scientist (your primary customer). Made between $100 - 150K per year. Flexible schedule, but you need to be a self starter and put in the hours to become successful.

Cons

Same as any company.... you deal with it.

Pros

You can make a great income at Carl Zeiss once you learn the equipment and get a reputation in your area.

Cons

They change their commission compensation plan every year.... and you spend half the year trying to figure it out, and half the year pushing products that you normally wouldn't sell to a client so you can maximize your personal compensation in terms of commission.
