      Pros

      Full time employment is provided. Overtime is provided.

      Cons

      High degree of Drama in the workplace. Extremely high degree of call in that has to be covered. Above average drug test failure rate.

      Middle management nightmare.

      Pros

      Good benefits, overall friendly climate and comfortable working environment. Enjoyed the work and schedule. Well supplied to perform my duties without lacking anything.

      Cons

      Middle management not trained well, do not follow employee relationship handbook, sub-par pay. "Good 'Ole boy" club in many departments make it hard to get a fair evaluation. Lower management keeps changing direct without updating - leaving those under him to figure it out.

      Decent opportunities but lower pay than other companies within the same industry

      Pros

      There is more job security as many of the projects are longer term or maintenance contracts.

      Cons

      The pay is lower than other comparable companies within the oil,energy and gas service industry. Depending on your craft there may or may not be any room to move up. As many employees in this industry are aware the organizational culture varies greatly from site to site depending on management and in my case QC. They determine the type of environment the site will have. Sometimes it is very pleasant but as you move to other projects(sites) it can be very cut-throat, unfriendly and based primarily on achieving the most output from welders and pipe fitters.
