Really smart people, great product, great culture with the rough edges of a start up

Pros

At Zaius, you have the opportunity to work with a bunch of really smart, passionate, thoughtful people on a really great product. There is an open culture where you are empowered to shape the direction of the technology. A solid senior leadership team has a clear vision for the direction of the company, and is engaged and mostly accessible. The statement that there are no egos that was shared with me during the recruiting process still holds true. You'll work long hours, but it will be because you want to. At the same there is a good work-life balance where you can step away when you want.

Cons

Not really a con, but there are challenges that Zaius, like many growing startup, faces -- that of working with limited resources and budget. Salaries are not the highest, but they are balanced with stock options and everything above in the Pros section. Benefits are okay.

Pros

I've worked for "cool" companies with a lot of press, a number of funding rounds & the best benefits--so I have something to compare to. Zaius is the best... by far. - Top Product - on track to be the Salesforce for B2C companies - Unlimited vacation with a team that backs you up when you use it - Brilliant engineering team - Zero judgement when you work from home - Frequent outings and free meals

Cons

Not a con for me, but potentially for others. We're still a startup, so long hours may be expected depending on the team. However, even when working long hours, you're able to get home at a reasonable time to spend time with family and hop online later in the day. Many (maybe most?) employees have children and families. There are some bad employees, as is the case at every company. However, the criteria for being considered a poor employee at Zaius I believe are fair: you don't know the product & you don't care enough / aren't smart enough to make that change.
