Pros

Great benefits, they keep a stocked kitchen

Cons

If you work in PAC you are nothing but a work horse. They do not care about you as a person. Work life balance is a complete joke!. This department brings in the most money for the company year they are treated the worst. All holidays except for Christmas day and thanksgiving day have now been taken away. But only from this department.

Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the honest opinion. We're trying to strike the right balance between providing the right customer experience and also providing a great work environment. The number of days off is actually the same. If you're asked to work during one of the standard holiday days, you would have the opportunity to take another day off. I hope the positives of Zillow and the positive impact of this important work can offset your concerns here, but I'd be happy to talk with you further about it to get more feedback. Feel free to reach out to me at any time - tonys@zillow.com.

Few Huge Positives, Many Negatives.

Pros

Good starting pay for new employees. Very aggressive commission structure with a potential to make a lot of money . Work hard play hard atmosphere. They like to party. No micro managing and you can set your own schedule. Provide leads. Great benefits. Have a very knowledgeable veteran staff. Quick turn time on loans. This is a great place to make money if you already know the mortgage industry.

Cons

The training is a joke. High employee turnover rate. The provided "warm leads" are not the best quality. Most of the leads won't answer and have already been called many times by other lenders. Many of the leads who answer are not open to discussion or do not qualify. Learning resources are scarce. The overall culture towards training is negative and many people are annoyed when others ask questions. The compensation recieved for a team leader's personal success highly surmounts the compensation received for the success of the team that he or she is responsible for. They don't really care if you succeed. The cultural importance of providing good and fair products for customers varies greatly depending on the loan officer. The work to life balance is terrible. They expect you to work a lot and those who are successful work around 55-60 hrs a week.

Pros

Zillow Group is consistently on several "best places to work" lists and for very good reasons. I have been with several organizations throughout my professional career and Zillow Group has hands-down done more for me than anywhere else I've worked. First off, the culture is second-to-none. From free food and beverages on a daily basis to incomparable perks and bonuses, Zillow Group truly has an amazing culture. The leadership, starting with Spencer Rascoff on down, the management, and the employees make it a truly great place to work! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic career opportunity! Benefits packages offered are literally the best I have ever seen throughout my professional career. I can honestly say I look forward to going there each and every day and contributing to my team and the organization as a whole!

Cons

Being a tech-based company, you must constantly change and adapt to stay ahead of the competition. Our CEO, Spencer says that if you get complacent, you will get blindsided by the competition. With that said, change is the only constant at Zillow group. If you are flexible and adaptable, it is a very fun, exciting, and challenging atmosphere, but if you prefer the status quo and do not do well with change, it would most certainly not be a good fit.
