Shady fake unethical

Pros

It's a paycheck and there are a few nice people. If you are lazy love to just socialize and get rewarded for it. This is the place. The frown on hard work.

Cons

Managers, hr, and everyone else in between can't be trusted. They all are unethical liars. They fire people with no explication or proof. If they don't like you, they will treat you bad and get rid of you. They have a horrible turn over. They encourage and reward lazy unprofessional behavior. Pay sucks. You are not appreciated or valued as a person. It's basically a slaughter house.

I'm sorry you feel you had a poor experience. I strongly object to your claims of unethical behavior. Zillow Group takes our core values, like Act With Integrity, very seriously and we work tirelessly to live them every day. Our performance management plans include well documented conversations about expectations, results, and a way forward. Our employee engagement, as measured by a recent employee survey, was very high, meaning our team thinks Zillow Group is a great place to work and grow. If you feel that we did not act in a way that supported you, I want to hear from you directly. Please reach out to me at jrg@zillowgroup.com, and I'd be happy to connect and discuss. -JR Gast, VP Client Experience.

Pros

Great company to start your post college career. Exposes you to corporate settings, goals, and processes. Great benefits.

Cons

Advancement limited for non-technical positions. Work can become monotonous.

Hi, thanks for you feedback. It’s great to hear you think we’re doing well as a company, and the benefits are good. It’s very important to me our employees feel valued. Sounds like we’re doing a good job there. In terms of growth, I agree it’s competitive at Zillow for internal positions. But I know your managers are happy to help catapult you to the next level under the right circumstances. This happens most frequently when an employee consistently excels at their current role, continuously sharpens existing skills, and adds new ones from both inside and outside Zillow (the free access to Lynda.com Zillow provides is a great place to start). While there is definitely a pattern to our work, think of it as a chance to really master something, become an expert in the process, and find a rhythm to excel (and give feedback to make it better!), as opposed to it being monotonous. I’m happy to connect directly and hear more from you. Feel free to reach out any time, jrg@zillow.com -JR
