Supportive Work Environment

Pros

The company overall is very supportive of it's employees, especially during Covid times. They have really adapted to support caregivers and parents. There are a ton of opportunities offered to stay connected and get involved. They address the tricky, uncomfortable topics head on, striving to do better, do good in the world. I love what this company represents

Cons

For those without caregiver roles are being overlooked a bit for their continued hard work and often more work to support the overall team. However there are still opportunities available for recognition.

This is really good feedback. It's important that everyone feels supported and valued right now. To your point, recognition is also more important than ever regardless of personal situations or varied hardships. This is something we are talking a lot about as leaders and I personally want to see, and am working to ensure, we do more of. - Crystal Tomczyk, VP of Equity and Belonging

As a leadership team we spend a lot of time thinking about how to support our employees. COVID has been challenging for everyone on many levels, but it's also provided us with the opportunity to stretch and evolve. It's very rewarding to hear this feedback. If you have any ideas on how we can improve as a team and organization, I'm all ears. Please reach out to me at davebei@zillowgroup.com. Thank you for all your efforts. - David Beitel, Chief Technology Officer

Pros

Great leadership, especially during the COVID transition. Really strong business and brand to be selling. Inclusive environment and culture. Fun is prioritized.

Cons

A bit myopic when it comes to our market position. Slow to innovate on product (in Rentals). Sales/Operations tools are disjointed and can make processes inefficient or inflexible. Compensation is really complicated and changes too often. Sales goals/comp somewhat misaligned with company priorities.
