- Most of the stellar reviews are from the Bangalore office, posted by very young developers who are oblivious to the reality in the HQ, or by the senior management that is working hard to do damage control and to keep the charade going.
- Those managers posted reviews on this website admitting that the company did poorly last year but that was due to COVID. That is utter BS! One year ago, the story told was that COVID would demand MORE investments in Field Services automation, not less! Just look at the performance of pretty much every SaaS company in 2020 and realize that Zinier missed the opportunity of a generation.
- Field Services is a very traditional industry with highly complex use cases. The typical customer won't buy a millennial CEO or a "best place to work" award. They want a solid, reliable and affordable application and there are literally hundreds of competitors that fit the bill better than Zinier.
- The main differential of Zinier's product, AI/ML, is just a marketing gimmick that is pretty useless in real life. Companies don't need an application that will tell them that a certain part will need to be replaced after 24 months, if they are already replacing it anyways, based on the preemptive maintenance schedule that is managed by their existing system, which does everything else much better, and cheaper, than Zinier.
- In Jan 2020 they hired and trained a pretty solid sales team of around 50 professionals, 90% of which were fired within one year, the remainder resigned. Only a couple of licenses were sold globally! The management now says they are planning to hire even more sales reps to target even bigger accounts. From Marketing to HR, from Product to Sales, smoke and mirrors everywhere.
- Without any sales to show, the company diverts the focus to being a best place to work, encouraging their employees to post positive reviews and fill out surveys on multiple websites and frantically replying to the negative reviews with corporate BS that is pathetic and untruthful. The reality is that the company failed to deliver and downsized brutally. The few remaining employees are desperately trying to get out.
- As someone very nicely put, this is a dying company that is not even worth a short stint at. Invest the few weeks that you would work at Zinier (until they fire you) to keep searching for a company that will not stink in your resume.
