Pros

Zions is very good at establishing a solid workplace culture. The job is relatively busy because you are THE community bank in Utah (assuming you are working in Utah). A lot more people bank with Zions than I previously thought. Ultimately they are very flexible with schedules, giving reimbursements, and there are great opportunities to rise within the ranks of the bank. If you are smart and somewhat of a go-getter, you can advance pretty quickly, and start making some decent money after 5-10 years. My co-workers call it the "Zions trap," meaning that since they don't get a ton of highly intelligent workers, if you're smart, you can rise through the ranks rapidly. Ultimately I really enjoy this job.

Cons

They are usually behind the curve when it comes to banking, specifically deposit rates and loan processing. They've been losing a decent amount of retail clients to credit unions, and rightfully so, because there are simply higher rates and sometimes more features at credit unions. However, businesses still thrive at Zions, and it has a really solid reputation in the community, then I don't think it will go down.
