Pros
Beginning worked as contractor 50/50 pay split of what clients signed up for whether all hours were used or not. Pay worked out to $16.00 and up an hour on average. Easily spoke with all levels of management without bureaucracy. Happy virtual work environment.
Cons
Zirtual changed to employees only. Most of the staff who hired, trained and mentored me were let go to make room for more expensive middle management. Employees were not paid by the hour which meant if you couldn't creatively persuade your assigned clients into actually using their "plan" hours you didn't get paid for those hours at all that month. Communication also was horrible. New rules/ processes were mass emailed one boss, confusingly implemented by employees then pulled by another boss. This happened often. New employees were brought in with much stricter rules. They lost the freedom of working around their home schedules to the point that the only real benefit received was not driving to work. Each time I see a new job posting the pay for new employees is less.
