Not as easy as they make it sound...

Pros

The flexibility of getting to work at home can't be beat. The opportunity to form relationships with great clients. The support from the trainers -- my trainer sent me a handmade Christmas present in the mail! They are VERY open and very willing to communicate with you. Your concerns are always seen as valuable.

Cons

They make the flexibility seem like the best part of working here, which it is -- to an extent. Even though there is lots of flexibility, that all may change if you get an especially strict/particular client. However, if your client is downright rude, the upper management at Zirtual will always take your side and understand your perspective. Also, the hours aren't as flexible as they used to be -- and I don't know about you, but it is not easy for me to travel on a ZA salary. They promote the traveling lifestyle a lot, but I just don't really see how that is realistic.

Pros

You get to work for some really interesting people. Which is cool if you're in college and you're interning somewhere to learn from interesting people. Benefits were good.

Cons

The pay and the hours are completely unrealistic. You're expected to chain yourself to your computer all day long and even that isn't enough. I was given more client hours than actually fit into a 40 hour work week. Not including any overhead time. Unfortunately, my clients actually wanted to get their money's worth so I found myself putting in hours for them outside of my regular hours just so I could not hurt my reputation. The last thing I wanted was successful people out there in the business world thinking I'm not a hard worker. But unfortunately, the client load (and the type of clients/tasks) were completely out of my control. They got more and more big brother as time went on. They have a policy where you need to track literally every single minute of your day. It's completely inefficient. The best part is they instituted this policy in a very shady way. They said "we just want to test out this concept" and "you don't literally have to track every single minute." But when you didn't do it, or you questioned their methods they began to say things like "well, this is our company policy and if you don't like it, well maybe this company just isn't a good fit for you." And all of this for $11/hr. i

Pros

Working from home, other ZAs are wonderful people.

Cons

Terrible wage particularly since switching to the per hour pay system, constant change of policies, inconsistent in-practice values as compared to what they posit as their 'corporate culture', external hiring for higher positions often despite promises of 'opportunities' to grow with the company
