Pros

Standard 4 week’s vacation and excellent parental leave.

Cons

Work life balance is discussed often, but expectations are crazy. Difficult to trust your numbers. Quota setting is often poorly done. Leadership makes lots of promises, but treats the salesforce poorly. Lower pay than other companies in the field, even though this is the #1 Animal Health Company in the world. Mission goes out the window pretty quickly when margins are thin. Difficult to advance within the company without taking a management role.

Pros

Benefits are very good. Insurance, vacation, and more. Good maternity benefits. Flexibility of how and where you want to work, hybrid. Animals are the focus. Leadership

Cons

Zero management training or if they are it is not working. Most managers hired in past couple of years do not have any experience doing what they are doing. Zero development or career ahead. While it is a great place to be, you will not go anywhere in this company. Micromanagement from managers who are afraid of how you will make them look. How they look is what they care about not their employees.

Pros

There are no pros by the time I left

Cons

They promised that no one would lose their jobs when they purchased the lab formerly known as Phoenix Central Laboratory for Veterinarians but then they gutted an entire department. They also did a poor job of preparing employees and clients for the company merger. Poor/limited training on the new programs that were implemented. It's evident that the higher ups know nothing about how to run a laboratory and instead of getting the advice from the employees who work there or hiring experts in the field, they decided to do everything blind.
