Pros

the providers and clinic associates are a wonder to work with. truly the highlight of working at this company. Its nice if you dont want to have a traditional 5 day work schedule, but they expect you to work every weekend, which is insane

Cons

management is terrible. I've never had a company that disrespects peoples boundaries and time more than this company. there is a lack of communication, unity, or direction. the company focuses too much on expansion and finding new ways to cut costs and make profit, that its lost sight on the mission and value of zoomcare.

Pros

- Great co-workers - Wonderful patient demographics to work with - Great stepping stone until getting into a healthcare program - If you need a job, they'll hire almost anyone off the streets

Cons

1. Non-Medical Leadership Making Medical Decisions: One of the most concerning aspects of ZoomCare is the presence of leadership without a medical background making critical medical decisions. This lack of expertise undermines patient safety and quality of care. 2. Lack of Concern for Patient Safety: Shockingly, there seems to be a blatant disregard for patient safety. Employees are discouraged from raising safety concerns via email, which suggests a worrying prioritization of legal protection over the well-being of patients. 3. Protecting Poor Leadership and Retaliation: The company's culture fosters an environment where speaking up against poor leadership is met with retaliation, often resulting in wrongful terminations. This not only perpetuates a toxic work culture but also jeopardizes patient care. 4. Neglecting Employees' Best Interests: ZoomCare demonstrates a blatant disregard for employees who prioritize patient care. The lack of support and empathy towards those advocating for patient well-being is disheartening. 5. Inflexible Schedule for Working Parents: Employees with children are burdened with a terrible schedule, reflecting a lack of consideration for work-life balance and familial responsibilities. 6. Disrespect Towards Professional Licenses: Despite holding professional licenses, employees are not respected or valued for their expertise, further exacerbating the issue of non-medical leadership making crucial decisions. 7. High Manager Turnover Rate: The constant turnover of managers, with over five changes in just eight years, indicates instability and a lack of effective leadership within the organization. 8. High Employee Turnover Rate: The company suffers from alarmingly high turnover rates, which not only disrupt operations but also suggest underlying issues with job satisfaction and employee morale. 9. Incompetent Schedulers: The scheduling system at ZoomCare is poorly managed, leading to inefficiencies and frustration among employees. 10. Unethical Treatment Regarding Sabbaticals: Adding insult to injury, ZoomCare has been known to terminate employees right before they become eligible for their 8 or 12-year sabbatical, displaying a complete disregard for loyalty and commitment. This unethical behavior further undermines trust in the company's leadership and leaves employees feeling disposable and undervalued. 11. Recent Poor Decisions Undoing Years of Progress: Recent decisions made by the company have reversed the positive strides made in the past, eroding employee morale and diminishing the company's reputation. Overall, my experience with ZoomCare has been disheartening and concerning. I would caution anyone considering employment or seeking medical care from this organization to proceed with extreme caution. The evident lack of regard for patient safety, employee well-being, and professional integrity raises serious red flags about the company's values and priorities.
