Pros

No pros, this section - simply waste for this Company (Chennai Office)

Cons

If you want to experience what hell feels like then Zoominfo india CS team is the place. While I’m sure Zoominfo US is of high standards not sure how did they pick a leadership person like the senior director (she who must not be named) whose so incapable of understanding of how product companies work, incompetent to understand employee’s feelings and definitely not a culture fit. The “ Sir” and “madam”is only used for boasting herself with a lot of ego. She treats every escalation as a crime and makes sure the person responsible is emotionally and mentally broken, strip their confidence. Good things happen to people who are in her good books. Rest of them won’t get bare minimum hike or worse get tossed around from team to team. Will be given donkey load of work and everything is manual. Leave’s will be given by the company but you will take it only if her puppets or she approves ( be it a important family thing, you can’t take leave) and holidays can’t be taken. This place runs on gossips, she’s the queen of it. Lot of partiality and only her favourites (puppets) get promoted. No respect for hardwork and effort. Until recent times there was no shift allowance, but employees were compelled to work 12 hours a day, she defined dress code to office and also tells a person on how to groom himself to office per her taste. Which I felt highly inappropriate to comment or talk about a persons looks. One reading this may feel this is from an dissatisfied employee or someone who doesn’t like her. Definitely not that, she makes this place highly negative, every employee who reports to her affected by her toxicity and will have similar things to say. Nothing from here can move past her so this does not reach people to whom it should.

Pros

None I can think of right now

Cons

Engineering leadership with: - lack of focus - constant shift of priorities - micromanagement - feedback are not welcomed - poor learning investment - not follow through with their "promises" I could go on and on. Enough to say that if you are looking for money without having a say, or opportunity to collaborate and grow then consider ZoomInfo. But if you are serious about a career I would never recommend this company.

ZoomInfo Response

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. Since 2020, we have nearly tripled our workforce, acquired seven other companies, launched marketing and recruiting platforms, made massive improvements to our sales platform, gained literally thousands of new customers, and expanded our operations to four other countries. And we are showing no signs of slowing down. We are innovating with speed and changing the game as we do it. This means we have multiple priorities at all times and have to execute and strategize simultaneously. We work hard and have to stay light on our feet so that we can respond quickly to market trends and customer needs. We have numerous feedback channels including one-on-ones, leadership roundtables, pulse polls, and surveys. I have heard this feedback and personally prioritized learning and development for Engineering, especially managers. Being part of the engineering team at ZoomInfo is challenging, but if you are willing to push yourself to get 1% better every day, I believe you can grow more personally and professionally at ZoomInfo than at almost any other SaaS company. Thank you again for your thoughts, and I wish you the best of luck in your next role. – Nir Keren, ZoomInfo Chief Technology Officer

Pros

I genuinely believe I work for the best company I could've found. There are so many intelligent people all striving to be their best -- it's an awesome environment to be in. This company is inclusive, takes care to allow for all kinds of perspectives, and is genuinely supportive. I trust my coworkers with things I don't tell my only family in some respects. I am also immensely proud of the company's leadership. Every decision made at the top is done with a 5-, 10-, and 20-year mission in mind. It's exhilarating to see new acquisitions and team growth to support the things we want to see happen in the short-term and long-term. I am encouraged to be myself, to be vulnerable, and to come to work with the goal of bettering my coworkers and peers. It's a ton of fun, and I am very happy.

Cons

There is a disconnect between those that are responsible for making high-level strategy decisions for internal process and those that manage teams directly. We are often left with a lot of work and no one else who can do it, which means we're left with the choice to work 10-hour days, ignore customers, or pass the buck to someone else. We are improving, absolutely, but we've lost a lot of good people on teams who couldn't handle the workload and the pressure to perform. We're keeping people who can handle immense amounts of negative pressure and not get beaten down, and we seem to be prioritizing emotional stamina over aptitude/intelligence.
