Pros

Coworkers at Zoot are great, and kept me there for far longer than I should have been. The benefits package is good, and help makes up for the lower than average pay.

Cons

The VP level of the company seems determined to drive the Zoot into the ground. They refuse to backfill vacant positions for years, and the quality of the company's product suffers greatly due to it.

Pros

A lot of great people to work with, you can bring your dog to work, onsite cafeteria, nice setting that is great for walks (when the weather is nice).

Cons

Almost no career development and very little incentive to stay at the company. Employees are not valued and owner has told entire company, at a staff meeting, to leave if they don't like how he runs it (it is his company but not a way to build devotion among employees). Experienced employees keep leaving for other jobs in the valley and almost everyone talks about leaving - almost never talk to someone that is excited about the company. Senior management talks about positive change but they either don't follow through or they implement change in a way that hurts rather than helps. Company often over hires and then let's people quit when business is slow - again losing experienced employees and lowering morale.
