      Good tech, good people, good food, good at burning cash while falling behind Waymo

      Pros

      Good culture, good tech stack, good opportunity with the right manager. Rare fusion of ML, software, firmware, vehicle hardware engineering, and operations. A young hard working engineer can learn a lot and go far. The food is great.

      Cons

      Risk averse and self defeating upper management since Tim Kentley-Klay's forced departure. Too much focus on moving goalposts instead of finding revenue with today's tech. Simultaneously self congratulatory and self defeating purgatory of cyclical milestones and demos. Base pay is good but the equity can suck.

      Pros

      i'm not sure why or how my last review was posted as 5 stars, but here's my updated review. Pro's include cool offices, great food, and the ability to create a really cool future for the world.

      Cons

      limited career development, extremely bottom-heavy job structure, limited ability for raises, people argue and are hostile, people will complain about you to get a leg up and make themselves look better, and people are fired / PIP'd left and right. This is a good company if you are overly confident in your abilities and are an absolutely perfect performer who will not let negativity affect you. Otherwise, run.
