Employees not a priority

Pros

Technology driven with flexible schedule. Depending on position, working from home may be an option. If you're in upper management, perks may include travel opportunities to exciting places.

Cons

Following the buyout of MMP - Zotec made promises that employees would not lose their jobs. Within months the lies began. The CEO is only interested in creating jobs in Carmel. Out of town offices were closed and people laid off while simultaneously jobs for the same positions were/are being posted in Carmel.

Pros

Zotec Partners offers the best technology, people and services in its industry. Because of this, employees can take great pride in the work they are doing. Zotec gives its clients and its employees insanely great experiences. I met George W. Bush last year at our company meeting! What company can top that?! There is little micro-management, but everyone is expected to do an awesome job and take accountability (and everyone is given the tools to do so). It's a smart company that expects the best from its employees and delivers the best to its clients. I love it.

Cons

My company was acquired by Zotec in 2013, and there has been a bit of fear among the ranks and a few lay-offs, but this is not unexpected given a merger of this size and the needs that the company has as it moves forward. The leadership team are a very close and select few, which stems from the company's culture and its CEO, and not unexpected in a privately-held company. They do what they want, when they want (and for the most part, they do it well). I work remotely and away from headquarters in Carmel, and therefore it is sometimes hard to feel like a part of the team.

Pros

I was employed with CBIZ MMP for 2 years before being bought out by Zotec Partners. I have been on Zotec's system for 18 months. I can honestly say I love my job. Well DID love my job. The flexibility was amazing and great insurance. My last day is in 3 days. They had 4 lay offs. The first two were the biggest, then the week of Thanksgiving 2014 they laid off 12 more, and now March 2015 they are let the rest of us go leaving 7 people in the office.

Cons

This company only cares about numbers. Their solution for everything is a quick mass action. Doesn't even matter if it is done right. They do not care about their employee's. Everyone is just a body to Scott Law. His plan all along was to close every MMP office around and take the clients. Good luck keeping clients that you don't know jack spit about. I guarantee every MMP client will not renew their contracts with this company. They will term the first chance they get if they are smart!
