Pros

If you are a 'yes man,' you will do well.

Cons

Benefits are not great and pay is not competitive either. Paid Time Off was removed for 'Flexible Time Off' aka unlimited PTO. Zscaler clearly does not want to pay out PTO if you quit or are laid off. Our week long Christmas shutdown was removed and we are going from 13 paid holidays to 11. If P&C wants to remove the shutdown, at least add more holidays for employees. If you manage up and provide feedback to your manager and they do not like it, you will be on your way out. I have witnessed several people get let go because of this. As someone else said, "The new leadership will smile in your face while they stab you in the back." I have had to change my working and communication style because I am afraid of retaliation. Management that cannot take feedback well will only cause Zscaler's culture to continue crumbling down the drain. There are several Sr. Directors/VPs who have been hired that have ZERO prior experience at that level and it shows in the way they speak to their team and handle issues. It has been soul-sucking working under such leadership. There are no processes or systems in place and thus you will be grinding every day-good luck on getting promoted if you are not favored by management because your work certainly will not speak for you. There is no diversity in leadership. This company is run by White and Indian men. The CEO likes to hire random people (and family members) that are, by and large, wholly incompetent and not fit for leadership roles. Additionally, much of leadership is remote while the ICs on their team are forced to come into the office. This breeds a culture of unfairness and elitism. I do not recommend working at Zscaler and cannot wait to leave.

Pros

Good technology and vision from CEO.

Cons

There is NO culture here. People don't connect with each other on any level. There is no one who even does a baby shower for pregnant women nor congratulate after birth. A colleague was pregnant and no one did anything for her like I saw at past employer places. It is a top down approach only where promotions are only given to YES men. People hired in management are only through their connections rather than merit based. There is no encouragement on internal movement either. The amount of politics in some organizations is something I have never seen before.
