Consistent Thrash in work and Bad Business Practices

Pros

Great coworkers, people are hardworking and good to work with

Cons

Employees were consistently pushed to prioritize high-priority work, but there was a lack of transparency and recognition regarding the impact of this work after launch. The most concerning aspect is that many employees who dedicated themselves to these projects for over a year were subsequently laid off, only to see their former roles being rehired at significantly lower salaries.

Pros

Decent pay and passionate cyclists

Cons

This company has no idea what they are doing. They continue to burn money irresponsibly and go through ups and downs of hiring and laying off. CEO is completely out of touch with day to day work and the company is being managed by the CFO who is way over his head. After the last layoff, the CFO decided to elevate all his direct reports to lead other functions (Data, IT, Legal, HR) with no experience to ensure he strategically had more control over the company. They had hired a ceo and new executive leadership team who was trying to clean things up but unfortunately that didn't last

Pros

The People that work at Zwift are some of the most dedicated and innovative professionals I have worked with. Truly a top tier team of Eng's and Technical Teams as a whole were a pleasure to partner with.

Cons

Career Growth Opportunities are limited. Although you may exceed your goals and take on more responsibilities. There is a possibility your Role and Comp stay the same. The compensation is not competitive for roles that are outside of Engineering. Amazon Culture bleeding in per the large number of Amazonians hired per the direction of the last round of Leadership hires and the old Zwift Culture was being silenced. (May have been fixed per the last round of lay offs.)
