Pros

The work is engaging, with exposure to many industries and the chance to develop real technical expertise in tax and law. Talented and motivated coworkers contribute to a collaborative and challenging environment. Part of the culture is “work hard play hard” — late nights are common, especially during peak tax season that push you to grow and meet high expectations. The mock presentations are tough (especially with the feedback culture) but they genuinely sharpen your consulting skills and make you better with clients.

Cons

Compensation does not feel competitive when compared to the workload and expectations. No hybrid or work-from-home flexibility, as a general rule.

Cons

Don’t be misled by the fake positive reviews — the negative reviews are actually authentic. If you’re a lawyer, this place will not advance your career. You cannot practice law, you won’t develop transferable technical skills, and you’ll be judged not on your abilities but on how often you agree with management. Compensation is well below peers in the legal field, and the company’s reputation (including the "visit"-- look it up) follows you into interviews. The culture is defined by “up or out” politics. Leadership rewards conformity over talent, takes credit when things go well, and shifts blame when things go badly. Work is often rushed through under pressure, and when problems come up later, responsibility is pushed down the chain to people who had little say in the decision-making. Accountability does not exist at the top. The work itself is simple but high-volume, made worse by inheriting files from people who left. What matters is volume, not quality — let someone else worry about the fallout. The company feels past its prime. Leadership tries to rebrand every pivot as “innovation,” but it’s the same stale mindset, and top talent continues to leave. New initiatives feel more like reaction than strategy, and instead of building toward the future, the business comes across as managing decline. Communication from leadership is minimal, and strategy amounts to putting out client fires and holding long, unproductive meetings where loyalty is tested rather than problems solved. Work-life balance is poor (it’s “work-life integration”). You’re expected to stay late, not for meaningful work, but for mandatory roundtable discussions that reward agreement rather than action. If you value time with family, integrity, or meaningful professional development, this is not the place for you. The recent rebranding efforts look less like progress and more like an attempt to bury negative reviews and reset reputation.
