Pros

Excellent product. High trust, high autonomy, flexible hours. No managers (but strong leadership). Very talented and friendly teammates.

Cons

Lots of works to do. Tons of context to acquired to get going.

Pros

Balena contains some very smart folks who form a company culture that is unlike any I have experienced before. There is a lot of freedom to choose what you work on, the strategy and ultimately the execution. The remote working setup and flexible working hours is a big plus, and the flat hierarchy makes it much more agile than other companies I have worked at.

Cons

The company can be challenging in the sense that there are lots of different areas of development, and hard problems, that need to be solved which can feel a little overwhelming sometimes.

- Great group of very intelligent people - Remote working so great work/life balance - Flat organisational structure, no politics, bureaucracy or space for large egos - A real team spirit, feels like one international big family - Hack fridays to work on personal projects

Cons

- Remote working means you have to be very disciplined, proactive and over-communicate what you are working on
