Pros

Fun to work with makeup and teach clients how to use, free gratis and teaches you how to properly shade match people. Connecting with clients and making them feel beautiful inside and out was my favorite part of this job!

Cons

-No holidays or weekends off. If you even try to request off it's a joke. -No extra hours to give everyone other than the managers. -Hiring a bunch of young girls who only want to work 4-15hours a week. -Cannot grow within company, they'll hire someone outside the company before promoting someone thats been there longer. -They took out the beauty bar so no more 20 minute "make unders". *-When bareMinerals outlets changed to Bare + Beauty by Shiseido that completely destroyed the whole "girlfriend" experience which bareMinerals was widely known for! Thanks to Leslie Blodgett for selling out her own company that is now doing terrible! - They would ship us old holiday kits that gets sent out from other stores..aka kits that nobody wants or needs from! -They wouldn't send us anything new or exciting, its been the same kits for 3-4 years now.

Pros

Room for growth within the company. Tons of opportunities to expand knowledge. Perks as in gratis when new products arrive and discounts! The encouragement you to use the products you you can speak truly of all the benefits!

Cons

Upper management (corporate to boutique) quarrels creating an on inviting environment. Also overlooked promotion opportunities due to corporate upper management favoritism. Working weekends is required when you are in retail so I don't believe it is a con but others do feel it is a con.
