      Changed for the worse

      Pros

      Easy job. Not a huge product range and they are easy to use.

      Cons

      Company over all has changed. It used to be all about the girlfriend experience but now it's straight up horrible. I've never been talked down to so badly and I've worked for bigger cosmetics companies. This is a great job for a college student looking to get extra cash. Not for a makeup artist that takes their careers seriously, because unfortunately, you are frowned upon if you know more than the basics.

      Pros

      Most people I met were great and well educated in their field. The products were simple and easy to learn.

      Cons

      Company hired too many unskilled individuals to fill stores. Not a wide enough product range to include all skin types. Management a little loopy with their directions.

      Pros

      Gratis, great benefits for full-time employees, fun work environment. Great training. I love my job. Work life balance could be better but not bad.

      Cons

      It depends on your store manager. We have a store manager that has never done retail or make up and doesn't wear make up and just doesn't fit. She doesn't lift our team up but makes our life harder it was a lot better before her. She tries to do so much and it doesn't work.
