Pros

I absolutely love my job. I've only worked here for a short time but I am in love with the company. The training is awesome and will be helpful even after leaving this job. The training is fun, usually at a hotel nearby, and you get all kinds of free things. My coworkers and manager are amazing and we all actively help each other to make sure the store is at its best. I hope to move up in the company someday.

Cons

One downside is having sale goals but not receiving commission. Most days I work very hard pushing products onto people and don't see any type of reward. Also, clients are allowed to get their makeup done for free which is a HUGE con, it adds to the body count of the store and 99% of the time they buy nothing cause they're rushing to their event.

Really Great Company

Pros

They focus on the girlfriend experience there. It's all about customer service and making the customer feel like they're at their girlfriend's house and not a retail store. They give you training twice a year where you get to learn new techniques and learn how your ideas and performance are directly impacting the company's vision and success (which is great, because you get to see how important you are to the success of the brand). They give you free product ALL THE TIME! I worked there for a total of 6 months and was given around 20 pieces of free product during that time period.

Cons

Because they believe that the employees directly impact the success of the brand, they're very specific about consistency through out the company. There's no room for creativity in events. They've gotten a lot better though. They no longer require specific brushes to be used only for specific functions. All in all, not many cons though.

Pros

My beauty ambassadors were dolls, love them, sometimes fun when you're working with the right people.

Cons

The management is a joke. We didn't even have a district manager for almost 7 months, so nothing was getting accomplished in a timely fashion. Lost my second job because I had to attend a mandatory three day training OUT OF POCKET. That's $200 in gas, tolls, parking fees that they made me wait two and a half months to be reimbursed. That's almost an entire weeks pay for me. (pitiful, I know). Favoritism, management gives preferable hours to themselves and their favorite employees, management steals sales to outshine you instead of training you and helping you with your numbers. They give gratis, once in a while, and it's always the lowest selling items just so they can get rid of it, I once received gratis from boot camp that had actually been opened and used prior to me receiving it, and I didn't realize it until I got home. Disgusting. Constantly getting yelled at for things I didn't even do, just so the manager can exersize her authority. When I asked to apply for a higher open position in another location, I was scoffed at and told I wouldn't like it there. I was also told I hadn't been with the company for long enough to be promoted, but just a week after I had asked, my manager let me know of a position OUT OF STATE that I can apply to. She knew I just signed a lease, she suggested I relocate.......over 3 hours away. Caddy, caddy, caddy! bonus is a joke, you can keep your $60 bucks for me busting my butt selling $12,000.00 for you.
