Pros

You can make your own schedule!!(within their guidelines and normal retail hours...cross your fingers to not receive an SOS email because of lack of communication between the head honchos and stores contracted) Management has compassion.

Cons

The pay is too low. Commission was eliminated. Wear and tear on vehicle is drastic. Organization is virtually non-existent.

Pros

- The days that you work at the stores are set, but you can go into them at any time on that day. As a student, that was ideal since I could schedule school/social activities normally. - Rarely ever see the DM or trainer, let alone other merchandisers. You do everything on your own, which is great for COVID and you feel independent. - DM and trainer were super kind! They’re always a phone call away, and respond fast. I never felt like I was annoying them with questions. - People will come up to you and admire the jewelry, there’s a sense that you’re making someone’s day better. - I got paid $15 an hour and they also compensated for commuting time, which was great for me as a young person. They’ll also match up to 3% on 401k, which I thought was generous.

Cons

- The work phone can be cumbersome. Power button would always get stuck, had problems on the various apps they use. It would easily suck up time trying to fix problems. - It’s tricky to know just what is new for the week, as the merchandising documents would change without much warning. I relied on the weekly email updates from the DM to dissect what was happening. - Generally convoluted array of apps/websites needed — chat apps, time sheet app, clocking app, service app, websites to order supplies/charge expenses. As a young person comfortable with tech, it still felt like a lot. - Didn’t feel like you could easily take sick days or time off — when a merchandiser in the area had to go somewhere, the DM was scrambling to get other people to cover their stores. Definitely a pressure to stick to the schedule. - You work in grocery stores often, which isn’t as great for COVID and sometimes it can be rough depending on your area. - Inventories at larger partner stores like Old Navy would take FOREVER, endless scanning of jewelry as there was always tons in the backstock. Generally exhausting and time-consuming, I would dread them. - Again at Old Navy, doing an under/over would be time-consuming as I often faced piles of sunglasses and bursting bags of jewelry.

Thanks for the review! Merchandising for beeline can be somewhat complicated, which is why we try to provide tools to make it easier. We also pride ourselves on the flexibility that we offer our Mobile Merchandisers, however there will be times due to schedules and servicing of the stores where everyone is unable to get the requested time off.
