Pros

It is a place holder job. Since they took over Amoco and ARCO they have taken on the philosophy of burning through employees and then discarding them - just like Pepsi in the 1990's.

Cons

If you are not BP heritage or a Brit, your upward mobility is severely limited. It is especially limited if you are ARCO heratige.

Pros

-Salary -Benefits -Work/life balance -Schedule -Bonus

Cons

Last few years the company has changed strategies so often that they've had 2 mayor layoffs, the people in charge have stayed at the company either in their old roles or moved into new ones and the people doing the grunt work, making the company work have been layed off. Make it make sense when the management has made so many mistakes and they get to stay at their jobs but the people making sure the company runs become disposable.
