Pros

Benefits package is good. Individual teams are good to work with.

Cons

- the directors are the most false people you will ever encounter in your life. -senior leadership team is the same. All up themselves and in it for themselves, nothing but plastic smiles and lies. -HR and IT are the most incompetent people you'll ever meet and as usual they don't care about employees (HR) - the SLT constantly have this insane hard on for "company values" "care for each other" "mental health and wellbeing" but they (especially the likes of the VP and his little drones) are the most morally bankrupt, nepotistic people in the world. They have no clue how to effectively run a business and would be more suited in Boris Johnson's Tory cabinet because all they do is waste money on extravagant trips for publicity (like their recent NEC nonsense) and lie through their teeth. -they impose financial restrictions on us plebs, stopping us from being able to collaborate properly, but are A-OK with wasting money on schmoozing and giving each other pats on the backs. Absolutely disgusting management culture. They act like they make good products but they don't. They buy in 3rd party trash and stick their label on it. Just look at public opinion of their products. As far as their "diversity" goes, it's all complete hogwash. If anything it borders on offensive tokenism All in all, if you value your self respect avoid bp and BP pulse entirely.

Pros

Few really decent passionate people there, good location and nice office

Cons

It’s TOXIC. Management are appalling and those managers who were good left. Culture of talking behind staffs backs, if your face doesn’t fit they will try snide ways to exit you from business and along with that there is almost a yearly ‘redundancy’ group who leave.

Pros

- Flexible hybrid working arrangement - free charging on public network - company EV - higher than market average salary

Cons

If I was being kind, I would say my experience at bp pulse was challenging. Since I joined the company, my task was to sell chargers, but I have had nothing but obstacles in my way, with very little support from management. Whether it’s because the chargers are too expensive, not compliant with current UK regulations, an eyesore to look at, incapable of being onboarded to new customers, not in stock - or my personal favourite - the homecharge team have banned us from selling them - I have had nothing but issues trying to sell, and that’s literally my job - sell chargers that can’t be sold. You’d have thought perhaps with all these issues the management team may have offered some kind of support or financial compensation - since it was literally impossible to sell and earn commission - sadly not. The management’s attitude towards all the challenges we as salespeople have faced was to shrug their shoulders, and even recently to shut down the home charge side of the business in its entirety and make 50+ people’s jobs redundant. The business is disjointed, sloppy and unorganised. Processes are slow and frustrating and not customer-minded. If we want a survey completed, it’ll take weeks. If you want something shipping fast, you gotta chase people. Recently, pretty much all the members of upper management all got a promotion and no doubt a hefty pay increase too, so it’s not all bad. Oh - the CEO is the most deluded/woke wet blanket you’ve ever seen. He recently shed a tear on a company-wide teams call because someone put graffiti on an LGBTQ+ friendly poster in the male toilets - get a grip mate. You’re a CEO of one of the largest EVC companies in the world, start acting like it. No one cares that you’re an inclusive snowflake.
