Pros
While cPanel was bought out by WebPros a couple of years ago, the "traditional" buyout pattern hasn't happened at cPanel. There have been no layoffs because of "redundancy", support hasn't been outsourced, and the company culture has remained intact or become stronger. While a lot has been changing in terms of tools that we use, how we approach work and so on in the name of streamlining and attempting to transition from a small to medium-sized company, these changes have been well-communicated and justified internally.
Cons
Compensation isn't bad, but it's not great for the industry. Salary is fairly low across the board and 401k matching is 5% instead of the usual 6%. Insurance benefits are good for the employee, but adding children or family increases the cost exponentially.
