Pros

dscout is a great place to work. I've been in sales for a long time and this is easily the best company I've ever worked for. The staff is a really solid group of humans: smart, curious, empathetic, and kind. The product is quite interesting and delivers a lot of value. The clients are some of the most innovative and interesting companies in the world. Pay is good, benefits are amazing, and the culture is awesome.

Cons

dscout is currently pivoting from a small startup vibe to a more mature medium-sized company. It's growing like crazy, which always presents some challenges. Overall, there are no major red flags or serious problems that I can see.

Pros

I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to work at dscout. It is a company and product that does meaningful work, that I feel is making an important difference. My teammates are incredibly smart and driven folks who really care. Not only about dscout as a company, but about each other. Leadership included. On top of all of this, some incredible benefits - medical insurance is phenomenal, educational stipend, beautiful new office overlooking the river, snacks aplenty, etc. etc.

Cons

We're a lean team who cares a lot, so we work hard (pros/cons to that). Beyond that, I think dscout could benefit from management training - specifically for those who are relatively new to management positions.

Thank you for the review and feedback here. I very much agree that the meaning behind our product and work, and the strength of the colleagues we sit next to, really make dscout a special place to work. Your feedback about training for new managers is heard and noted - thank you! As it may take some time to roll out our formal program, please feel free to have anyone this applies to reach out to me to discuss some options that exist for the near term. Again, thank you for the feedback and stay safe!

Pros

For someone who's curious, capable and empathetic, it's hard to think of a better organization to join. So many companies, including some of the world's largest and most important, turn to dscout to better listen to and understand their customers. It feels like important work -- and it is. There's a strong mission throughout the organization that's easy to buy into, and a clear roadmap for building for the future. A few things worth noting: - Culture is top-notch, with regular happy hours, learning opportunities and events. - Employees are proficient, talented, engaged and interesting -- it's easy compared to other work environments to get things done and get them done well. - Benefits are excellent, particularly PTO policy and insurance offerings. - Lots of trust and autonomy within your role -- little micromanagement if you're getting results. - Flexible work environment on start/end time, occasional remote work, accommodating appointments, etc. dscout invests in you and your success. If you care about people and about doing good work, you'll love it here.

Cons

Office space has gotten tight amid team growth -- but, dscout is moving to a bigger and better office space in early 2019. Also, interviewing is pretty in-depth, which helps build a strong team, but you'll want to research and understand the company before talking to a dscout employee.
