      Pros

      The only reason to work for Ebay now is to make the mortage payment. If you are white and male, you can hope to aspire to become management.

      Cons

      If you are white and male, you can hope to aspire to become management. Managers regualrly make derogatory comments about blacks and women. A person made a request for an accomodation for a diabetes found himself moved to a less desirable shift, hounded constantly and eventually resigned. They expect you to work off the clock about 1 a month, which is an improvement over how they used to handle that.

      good platform to get into e-commerce/internet industry. as one of the largest internet company and a leader in e-commerce, it is a good platform for people to learn how an internet company works/operates, and gain insight. ebay is a employee friendly company.

      disorganized, disconnection between business objective and execution, no clear roadmap for the company, anti-process, perception based, huge overhead

      eBay Mission, eBay's scale is untouchable, there is nothing close. Millions of buyers, millions of sellers use the site every day. When you build a product or make a change it impacts millions of people every day. eBay is the worlds largest ecommerce provider and the opportunity to continue to be a force in ecommerce is still huge. eBay's team is actually very talented esp. at the mid levels

      eBay is an extremely complex business. The marketplace that looks simple tends to have lots of complexities making it difficult to get things done and sometimes to understand the impact of what you have done.
