Pros

- Good competent colleagues - Innovations in work is possible - Company can make good profits by segmenting the formats clearly - Good facilities within the company. Freebies are still available when the economy is what it is now

Cons

- Innovations are not leveraged by the company - Improve the processes and regain the technology DNA within the company - Managers are not competent enough to un do the process heavy life cycle and adapt a agile life cycle for products - Too many meetings for people at all levels and seems the only way to communicate across group and across layers of hierarchy is by meeting

Pros

Free Gym. Free sodas. Bagel Wednesdays. There are foosball tables, ping pong tables, boccie ball court etc but it's in the middle of 4 tall buildings and no one plays.

Cons

First of all, I am quite amazed about how accurate some of these reviews are. I'd like to confirm these reviews as most of it its the honest truth. Promotions are given out unfairly. Lots of favoritism. Hard work is not rewarded. So much secrecy around promotions. No open communication. Horrible work conditions. Senior managers definitely don't know how to lead or motivate their employees. Senior managers only out for themselves and only manage upwards. Pay is not competitive and up to par with industry standards.

Pros

Great work-life balance and nice perks and compensation (e.g., stock units, bonuses, etc.). Free soft drinks and an assortment of snacks; wide variety of companies under the eBay umbrella; highly profitable and only missed bonus payments twice since the early 2000's; a culture of innovation and ability to create your own hours without management watching the clock; 4 week sabbatical after every four years of employment; overall a great place to work!

Cons

Large company fighting the economic downturn; Groups can be a bit overprotective of their general area with a lot of politics; some fragmentation amonst the mergers and acquisitions.
