Communication Flatness might increase visibility only if your boss is not Shielding it because they have been in the role for decades and no promotion. If you are Indian , work here… you might get roles others can’t even if others qualify for it.
Cons
The “leadership” is clueless. Find another job. Make this your last resort. This department bully’s other departments. You can be stuck in a position for decades!!! It is very flat.
