      Pros

      I was hired in eGain as software engineer trainee. We received 3 months training then I was assigned to product engineering department as a software engineer. I have been enjoying my tenure here at eGain. Recently plenty of support from my lead, manager and the HR team. Good platform to learn and grow. The upcoming update to software architecture is exciting and I’m looking forward to it.

      There are better places to work

      Pros

      eGain provided me with the stepping stone needed in order to pivot my career. The team that I had was a solid group with great experience. Our direct manager tried to be as transparent as possible regarding the plans and decisions being made by upper management.

      Cons

      At SKO last Aug, there were over 100 reps in a banquet hall - the majority of which were new employees with less than six months of being with eGain. Roles for people in the room included sales, pre-sales, sales operations, and management - from both the US and UK offices. As of this post (May '23), there are less than 10 reps covering the US. There has been multiple rounds of layoffs and it is understood that every deal is looked at by the CEO. I doubt eGain is currently hiring as there was a recent round of layoffs however if given the opportunity to interview, know that any deal brought in will be picked apart by the CEO.

      Flexibility to manage my own schedule

      Pros

      My manager was very understanding about personal matters that came up during my tenure. Another thing that stands out is the collaborative culture. The team I worked with was very supportive, and I feel like we are all working together towards common goals. Everyone is willing to lend a hand and provide guidance when needed, which has helped me grow and develop as an employee. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone looking for a positive work experience. They value their employees, prioritize work-life balance, and foster a collaborative culture that makes coming to work a pleasure. As a new employee, I was paired with a senior colleague (buddy) who provided invaluable guidance and support. I learned a lot from their experience and expertise, and they helped me navigate the challenges of my role with ease.

      Cons

      No celebration of festivals, although they have monthly events and team activities, festivals should be celebrated as well.
