      Pros

      eGain is an innovative company that is using Artificial Intelligence and Analytics to solve the problems of customer contact centers. Great products, very capable workforce, good work culture, fair pay with good benefits and above all excellent opportunities to learn and innovate.

      Cons

      Being way ahead of its time always poses some challenges specifically in the beginning as the use of AI and Analytics in contact center was still in nascent stage about 20 years ago. However, 20 years of hard work is now starting to pay off as the customers have started to appreciate the value of eGain products in solving their problems.

      * Great product in a cool space (AI enabled knowledge management + digital customer engagement) * Innovative -- willing to experiment * Highly collaborative and friendly environment; minimal politics * Career and skill growth (if you do well in your role, you will get more responsibility and get to move around organization) * Opportunity to make a difference in company results and direction * Good work / life balance

      * Does not have typical Silicon Valley perks * Sometimes roles between and across teams can be a little unclear * Support infrastructure could be upgraded

      Great for entry level, starting out, and stability. Terrible for longterm career growth.

      Pros

      Good for entry level positions or those starting out. Lots of hands-on exposure and experience to troubleshooting software application in the Cloud. Within walking distance of VTA station. Semi-open office environment with half cubicles and transparency. Free coffee. Weekly catered lunch. Good work ethics and integrity.

      Cons

      Average to below average compensation. Feels like an older, mature, and frugal company with little career advancement for those starting out. People work hard to achieve KPIs, but KPIs has little impact to rewards & compensation. Work environment doesn't spark joy.
