Pros

no pros at all. The only pros here is you get salary in time.

Cons

one of the worst employers. Ceo and few senior managers are good but they never get to know good employee feedback. also no safety for employees. Technical support team is the worst place to work as there is lot of politics.

A once great company failing fast

Pros

There are still some great people left at eGain, and the Knowledge product is market leading. They also have some good complimentary products.

Cons

There are a lot of good, senior, experienced people leaving eGain, and the reasons for this are being ignored by the exec team. eStaff seem to have a head in the sand approach and unfortunately the direction of the company is completely driven by the CEO. He has surrounded himself with a team of people who tow the company line and won't speak up. This is leading to a massive failing (look at the recent earnings releases and stock price!). Employees are treated like commodities who are easily replaced. There is no feeling of loyalty or reward for a job well done. It's a common feeling that the CEO doesn't really care about his staff which makes it difficult for everyone to pull together. Pay reviews have been promised for months and never materialise. And moving everyone from a modern office in a busy town to a dated office miles away and not offering financial compensation shows how little the staff are cared about. The move has left many out of pocket financially and has taken chunks of time out of their personal lives. Resource is a massive issue with many key departments being very under resourced and the feeling is we have to do more with the little we have, and that this won't be addressed anytime soon. Finally eGain don't seem to like paying their sales guys. Even if you hit your target you don't get paid your OTE (the com plan is dreadful and commission statements are non existent). It also feels like they have to fight to get paid on time.

Cons

Low salaries and appraisals Very repetitive and boring work, technologies used are old Management has a yes sir attitude with little concern for people who are below them Almost nil transparency as every one is the least motivated to work but does not want to show it
